Clerk of Circuit CourtsThe Waupaca County Clerk of Courts provides a record management system for court documents, papers, books and records for all Circuit Courts except the Probate Branch. The Clerk of Courts is organized into many divisions: criminal, traffic, family, small claims, civil, juvenile and paternity. The department provides court staffing; support services for court actions relating to their management for all Circuit Court branches, initiating and maintaining files, maintaining indexes, issuing necessary papers, receipting fines, docketing papers, minutes and orders, servicing the public by phone and counter.
Prospective juror lists are maintained in the Clerk of Courts office. Jurors are regularly summoned by letter for each prospective jury trial in which they are to serve.
As a proactive and responsible measure to COVID-19, the Clerk of Courts is encouraging the community to practice the social distancing guidelines as recommended by the Waupaca County Health Department, Waupaca County Emergency Management Department, Wisconsin Department of Health Services and the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. We urge citizens to postpone in-person visits to the courthouse until further notice. For any business with the county, please phone ahead as many inquiries can be resolved via phone and e-mail.
