What is Healthy Beginnings Waupaca County?

Healthy Beginnings is a free, voluntary home visitation program that offers information and support to expectant parents and parents of infants or young children. Enrollment can take place at any time from pregnancy to age 5!

Prenatal Services

A public health nurse will meet with an expectant mom during pregnancy. The nurse can provide information on prenatal care, labor & delivery, breastfeeding & nutrition, and comfort measures for mother and child. Nurses will also link families to community resources.

Birth to 5 Services

A home visitor will meet with a family with children in the age range of birth to 5. During visits, the home visitor and parent will focus on the parent-child relationship, child development, and family health & safety. Information on community resources will also be provided.
