Here's the latest news on COVID-19 vaccination:

✴️ The FDA has removed approval for all previous COVID-19 vaccines, which means they can no longer be administered.

✴️ The CDC now recommends the newly updated COVID-19 vaccine for everyone 6 months and older.

✴️ We aren’t able to vaccinate until we receive the new formula and get approval from WI DHS, which we anticipate in the next few weeks.

✴️ The federal government will no longer be providing a public supply of the updated COVID-19 vaccine. If you have health insurance, please contact your physician’s office or a local pharmacy to receive your updated COVID-19 vaccine (and flu shot!).

✴️ Waupaca County Public Health will have a limited supply of updated COVID-19 vaccines for uninsured and underinsured adults and children, please call 715-258-6323 to see if you are eligible.

✴️ Continue to watch our website and Facebook page for the latest updates!

NEW Public Health x Compassionate Connections

Public health connects us all. Public health is the science of protecting and improving the health of people and their communities. This work is achieved by promoting healthy lifestyles, researching disease and injury prevention, and detecting, preventing and responding to infectious diseases.

Overall, public health is concerned with protecting the health of entire populations. These populations can be as small as a local neighborhood, or as big as an entire country or region of the world.
