UPDATED PARKING RESTRICTIONS FOR TAYLOR LAKE BOAT LAUNCH
The parking prohibition for Otter Drive (Town of Farmington ordinance 7.20.2020c) will take effect September 8, 2020. There has been some confusion on who is responsible for this change and why it is being put in place. Waupaca County Parks is not involved in this change.
The Town of Farmington held a special meeting on August 3, 2020 to discuss this issue and others with the involved parties. Minutes from the meeting can be obtained on the Town of Farmington’s website. The meeting was discussed at the Waupaca County Parks and Recreation Committee’s August 4, 2020 meeting as well. Minutes from that meeting can be found at the link below.

Recently someone has been placing fliers on people’s vehicles near the Taylor Lake Boat Launch. The County Parks Department is not doing this and will not do so in the future.
BOATING RULES AND SAFETY
Stand-up paddle boarding is the fastest growing water sport in the world. With the rise in popularity, many paddle boarders often forget that being on a paddleboard requires the same safety precautions and vigilance as any other activity on the water, which includes having a life jacket on their board. But DNR strongly recommends wearing the jacket. "Wearing a life jacket significantly reduces the chance of injury or death." For more information on boating regulations, go to https://dnr.wi.gov/topic/boat/
OUR OFFICE IS NOW OPEN
Effective June 29, 2020, the Parks Dept. Office will be open. We are allowing 1 person at a time in the office and ask that you remain in the hallway if somebody is already in here. If you are feeling ill please do not come in.
