The Vaccines for Adults (VFA) and Vaccines for Children (VFC) programs provide vaccines for those who might not otherwise be vaccinated due to being uninsured or underinsured.
Vaccines are available:
At the Public Health office (2nd floor, Waupaca County Courthouse)
- Monday-Friday by appointment only. Please call 715-258-6323 for availability.
Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program Eligibility
Children ages 18 years and younger can get vaccines for free or at a lower cost. Your child is eligible if they:
- Are enrolled or eligible for Medicaid.
- Are American Indian or Alaska Native, as defined by the Indian Health Care Improvement Act (25 U.S.C 1603).
- Don’t have health insurance.
- Have health insurance that doesn’t pay for all vaccines, making them eligible through a Federal Qualified Health Center or a Rural Health Clinic.
Vaccines for Adults (VFA) Program Eligibility
The VFA program provides free or low-cost vaccines for adults aged 19 years and older who are uninsured or underinsured.
- You are uninsured if you do not have private health insurance, Medicaid, or Medicare.
- You are underinsured if you have health insurance, but it does not cover certain vaccines or it has a fixed dollar limit or cap for vaccines. Once that fixed dollar amount is reached, you are eligible for the VFA program.
